Optional tours and activities:

 Kathmandu Valley

A one-hour daily Everest Mountain flight from Kathmandu for early morning. Cat views of the Himalayas and Everest are scheduled during fall and spring, and can be arranged other months depending on the weather.

Professionally guided tours of ancient cities and temples of Kathmandu Valley for anyone with a few free days in Kathmandu. The newly restored museum in Patan, the Boudha Stupa, and Bhaktapur’s temple square and “living” 16th century houses with carved windows and doors are Kathmandu Valley high-lights.

Day walks and bird watching in the Godawari rain forest located in Kathmandu Valley’s South East corner just below the Valley’s highest peak (Phulchoki) are excellent half or full day activities.

We offer a two day/one night Valley Rim walk of moderate exercise and fresh air with excellent views of the peaks from the Valley’s southern rim, seasonal birds and village life. Camping or overnight stays in clean comfortable lodges.

 Chitawan:

Three day package tours are available for Chitawan National Park which include transportation to and from the Park from Kathmandu, lodge, all meals, wildlife watching and elephant rides.

Pokhara:

Package tours to Pokhara either inde-pendently or in combination with a Chitawan tour for a close-up view of some of Nepal's highest peaks including Dhaulagiri (the world’s fifth highest) and the Annapurna peaks.

For some years we have offered a very moderate to easy trek around the Pokhara Valley, commonly referred to as the “Royal Trek” named after Prince Charles who trekked some of this route years ago. Four nights of camping out with fabulous views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail and Himalchuli peaks and two nights stay in Pokhara in a moderately priced clean hotel.
