1. Ghorapani (Poon Hill) Trek:
This trek starts and ends just outside Pokhara and follows back trails
winding through picturesque villages.
This is a moderate trek if you are regular walker.
Excellent overview of Nepal for the first-time visitor.

morning departure for trekking point at Nayapul (1037 m)
(2-hour drive) and trek to Hile - (1577 m); trekking time 5 hours. |

Continue trek to Ghorapani (2875m)
(6-8 hours). A
steep, all day climb through terraced fields and slate-roofed village
houses and thick rhododendron forests. |

A day in Ghorapani to enjoy a rest day with great
views. Early morning forty-five minute walk to the top of
Poon Hill (3210m) for sunrise viewing of Annapurna, Annapurna South,
Nilgiri, Dhaulgiri, Tukuche, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchre (Fishtail). |

Continue easy walking to Tadapani (2650m) about 5-6 hours through
thick forests. |

Trek to Ghandruk (1951m) (5-6 hours). A traditional Gurung village
of typical stone and slate roofed houses with excellent viewing of the
Annapurna peaks. |

Trek to Tolka/Pothana (5-6 hours) with continued good viewing of
Annapurna and Manaslu peaks. |

Trek to Dhampus Phedi and drive (1/2 hour) back to Pokhara for the night
and departure for Kathmandu by air or tourist bus. |
